I don't know. Andrew Yang or Larry Hogan maybe? There are people that actually care more about America than their ideology or, even worse, their own careers. Unfortunately, thanks to our two party system, you'll never get a candidate that truly appeals to the middle, or that both liberals and conservatives can live with.

Well, you better face the facts, Batty. This country is never going to become a Proletariat state so you might as well join the fight against fascism instead of with everyone that doesn't happen to share your views. I happen to lean towards Socialism too but it's never going to happen here, so at least we should support someone that we can all live with, hopefully someone who leans left but if he/she happens to lean right like maybe a Romney (or better yet, maybe Lisa Murkowski) for example, well, so be it.

I get there are two parties for a reason but I just wonder who would be the most middle.

None of these people are fighting **** and their weak-kneed soft conservatism is just going to lead more people to either disengage from politics as their needs are not addressed or radicalize to the right. The only option is to provide a counter narrative from the left that turns people away from fascism.

Fine, but it's not going to be someone like AOC. You need someone that comes off as more moderate in the beginning at least, like Obama for example. Then you need to convince the electorate (and this is where the charisma of an Obama or a JFK comes in) that a more liberal government is actually something that could be good. People's needs aren't being addressed mostly because they let their inner hatreds get the best of them. The GOP has exploited that hatred for decades and that's why we're where we are now.

1. This is not the only option.
2. This isn't going to work, which means it isn't an option.

No one on the far left can take a stand on anything. They might come out and say M4A but can any of them write a bill that isn't immediately eaten by other far left-wingrs who want to look more enlightened?

More partisanship won't fix the problem, partisanship is the problem.

Go ahead and outleft the leftists, congress. I'd appreciate the 180 change in tactics.

Dems like Obama and Hillary are cynical doomers who have contempt for anyone who would attempt to challenge corporate power and don't believe in much of anything except technocratic solutions that don't motivate anyone and they still get outflanked by the right as communists. They will solve nothing and only push people to the fringes.

Twitter leftists don't hold any power to challenge M4A. Electing more left people is the only way any electoral strategy will do anything.
