By...giving it to everyone instead?

I don't think this is a step in any direction cause giving vets free healthcare isn't an issue either party is ideologically opposed to, they were just failing to live up to their own standards. Seal clapping over the troops is bipartisan.

I'm not opposed to the on brand pessemism towards the reality of the situation but I also applaud the persistance Stewart showed in sticking with it until it was done. I understand there's a bigger picture with the healthcare problem but that isn't on one person to solve. I appreciated Stewart today. It made me realize that he's got the right idea and is doing what he can to make a difference.

Yeah I don't dislike Stewart, even if he's too wishy washy for me he's not a villain like Bill Mahr, and this whole thing doesn't bother me. I just found all youse to be cringe libs who needed a flick to the forehead and some perspective.

You want someone to speak out about healthcare, go to Bernie Sanders.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he practically ignored by the rest of his peers in government? As a Canadian, I like the guy, but it looks to me like if he isn't wearing mittens, people don't pay any attention to him.

I do not understand what point you're making. Soy like a cringe lib when ICE gets dental? Yay incrementalism even though this is a dead end? Real revolutionaries make time for every niche grievance?

We're all cringe bitches. You should see me whenever Nina Turner says something about Nancy Pelosi just got found wandering the street in a see-through nightgown.

also I see what you're trying to do with the ICE comment
So incrementalism then? Even aside from the normal criticism of it not galvanizing any support to move to the next increment (which is why change often occurs in fits of revolutionary fervor or a court case), this doesn't even lead to a next logical step. Both sides of the mainstream culture war have long agreed that vets deserve free healthcare and then compartmentalize that to exclude any thought of extending it to anyone else. This is just making good on a promise the politicians were trying to break when they thought no one was looking.

Most of the rest of the Dems want M4A?
