What if the true scam was the friends we made along the way?

Ah now, they would. They'd send representatives.

This big-dick-swinging version of foreign policy only serves to promote the interests of the corporate paymasters. And it's another gross reminder of the lack of labor movement.

The working people of the US and Iran have more in common than they're told by their respective oligarchies.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Art Is Dead. Buy My ****.

IMHO this type of rhetoric forecloses any meaningful engagement in politics: if you brand a collective as broad as the American (or the Iranian) people a bunch of genocide-loving racists, then where do you go from there? To the self-satisfied knowledge of your superiority and what else?

That's at least mildly redundant.

On the flip side.. where does the rhetoric of "working people in Iran/USA have xyz in common" get us either? Is it bringing us any closer to peace? No, because that kind of sentiment is irrelevant to geopolitics.

Ants from different colonies have a lot in common too yet they still go to war.
