You're about 63% right.

"Social anarchism (sometimes referred to as socialist anarchism)[1] is a non-state form of socialism[2] and is considered to be the branch of anarchism that sees individual freedom as being dependent upon mutual aid.[3] Social anarchist thought emphasizes community and social equality as complementary to autonomy and personal freedom.[3] They also advocate the conversion of present-day private property into social property or the commons, while retaining respect for personal property.[4] " Hmm... ok, I see. I have a feeling that any social anarchist society would soon devolve into pure anarchism unless something else breaks it apart first. No way humans will just agree to be nice to each other just out of a kind heart for any exteneded period of time. The strong will attempt to place themselves on top, the weak will be trampled underfoot. |
That's what the thunderdome is for.

So Rex Tillerson is in China meeting with North Korean officials trying to smooth over all of the recent Trump rhetoric using a diplomatic approach. That's the job of the US Secretary of State. Kudos.
Cool. Maybe both sides will calm their jets and let things go back to a simmer as opposed to the current rolling boil. Maybe, there's hope. Nope. Trump's today: "Rex Tillerson is wasting his time trying to negotiate with Little Rocket Man. Save your energy Rex, we’ll do what has to be done!” |

I hate governments, but they are necessary. Anarchy and true libertarianism could never work. |

Pardon me if I'm a pessimist, but I think human beings need to be better than they actually are for anarchism to work. EDIT: Didn't catch your own edit there, so here's a response to that. "And I know "society different than what I'm used to could never work" is a popular argument but anarchic societies have literally worked in history so you're just wrong" I would love to believe that it's possible, but power hungriness, aggressiveness, greed, bigotry and prejudice is inherently human and I fail to see how such a system would not break apart on it's own in time. Sure, the US might have cute attempts at same short by intervening at various times in the past, but do you really think anarchist socialism would have lasted without any sort of outside meddling pulling it apart? It's a nice dream for sure. Another thing: I'm sure that the best way to structure a society is something we haven't done yet. No societal model we've done yet really, truly worked. |

Less than 24 hours later Trump undermines his SOS and tells him he's wasting his time, while tossing more insults at KJU. The rest of the world is watching and wondering whether it's even worth it to negotiate with Tillerson since Trump just rendered him a complete politcal limp dick. HTF are there still people in the US dumb enough to turn a blind eye to all of this and stand behind the tool in chief? |
