If you read it from the perspective that all the supernatural stuff is silly bs then what’s left is a weird cult leader raving about pacifism and loving the poor.

The New Testament as a whole taken as a work of literature the only real take aways are love the poor and and never strike back even when attacked. Christians always point to particular verses in a text that’s full of all kinds of random weirdness. If you’re literate and can see the forest (main idea and theme) then you can easily see that the philosophy being advocated is in every way completely at odds with America. There’s no way to be a patriotic American and a real Christian because it’s obvious to anyone with any reading comprehension that Christ would’ve hated America as much as I do.

Actually I think you're the one missing the forest for the trees.

The main message behind "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" type hippy passages is that you don't need to punish sinners cause God will do that for you. And he will do it soon. And it will be bloody. And you will rejoice at the sound of justice being done to those who deserve it.

If you ignore the supernatural elements and focus on the parts you like you aren't even close to seeing the forest. The seeming pacifism is just yet another passive function of waiting for judgement day.

Well if you don’t ignore the supernatural **** you might as well be reading Tolkien. Any serious reader should be looking for what the legit philosophic message is. A charismatic central figure goes around talking about turning the other cheek and loving the poor and he doesn’t lift a finger in his own self-defense when crucified.

That’s the forest.

The trees with with no literary merit are his mom was a virgin, his dad was an invisible sky man, he could heal people and walk on water, he came back from the dead and so on.

I get that the way it’s peppered and pasted together it seems like the main idea is for the reader to find the path to salvation but a discerning reader should be able to see what the real authors meant before they retarded it up.

No you're wrong. Millwall have long been known to attract the most racist, white supremacist fans of all the clubs. A lot of it is caricature sure, but they're known for what's called "hooliganism" here, which is basically football-speak for "violent bastards who go to matches just to kick the **** out of the other fans." A popular slur used to be, and still may be, you're as violent as a Millwall supporter. Here:

Generally, fans don't boo before a match; they wait to see how the team does, because the nature of football is that even a ****ty team that is going down can beat a bigger team once in a while, and no matter what, fans always push their team to do well. If they don't, then they may boo them AFTER the match, but almost never before. They were booing the idea of being against racism. No question. No other team's fans did this, ever. And this is the first time fans have been allowed back in the stadium since March - this is how they choose to respond?
