I do think there’s a lot false advertising and misunderstanding about that America really is in much of the third world. Many people, do indeed, find life here worse than it was at home.

Right. But American politics can be very "If they like it, I hate it" and I'm sure I don't need to make the case for Americans being self-centered and indifferent.

But that's an "us" problem. People don't need to have lives that bad in this country. I think we just have too many fat ****s who want to feel like they matter despite not having any ambition, and order UberEats and Drizzly to their coach while they binge-watch Netflix in sweatpants.

Americans generally speaking love to give opinions on things they don't know anything about. I'm against voter suppression, but some of these people should be ashamed they vote when they're so easily manipulated.

Sounds like a great thing to succumb to.

That’s what you think is a bad life?

With bad breaks no amount of ambition...

Oh **** this point with people who can’t see it intuitively.

I need to hire a forensics specialist to figure out where things went wrong.

No. I do not think that is a bad life. I think that's a life of entitled people who don't want "the other" coming in and taking their ****. Who are only told "gangs are coming in" and go vote for Trump.

Allegedly a big reason why Trump got so many supporters was because liberals are mean. Imagine your political identity being molded by the fact that you got bullied by a liberal. That's the most spineless thing ever. Like, you don't have an actual belief you're just a whiny bitch. Pathetic.

Probably true, too.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Yeah and based on the last four years I have to believe it's true in some measure.

I'm all for saying the Professional Managerial Class sold out the rust belt. But how they choose to respond to it, and their own lack of self-involvement blows my mind.

Amazon's HQ2 is not coming to your former factory town because the governor cut corporate taxes, my friend. Stop the urban sprawl, support policies that concentrate people closer to major cities, and invest in yourselves. You can't cut taxes low enough for people to care about you. Without State/Federal spending you're never going to become a prosperous location.

Actually they do tend to vote for left leaning policies like upping the minimum wage and a public option for healthcare when it's presented to them they just don't like the politicians attached to these ideas. Well, actual leftists that know how to speak to populism have done much much better than the establishment democrats that talk down on us Bernie bros this election. It's as if Dems are out of touch and take people for granted. Even though Republicans are much much much worse for them at least they are in touch with the common people enough to pander to them.

The way I see it, the statement I've bolded is GOP Marketing working. What Democrat took you for granted? Is Sherrod Brown establishment? Does Biden's "Dignity of work" message not matter?

Common white people. The low level of support they have among everyone else indicates they're out of touch with common people in general.
