And these Antifa so called "terrorists" are losing the American killing game to the goddamn Trumpsters and police. It's ****ing pathetic.

It's just Trump bravado. Haven't you heard enough bull**** from Trump to not take every word he says seriously?

Would it be like Trump to come out in interviews or at rallies and say "Well, I might win, I might not - polling shows that it's a tight race, but our internal polling shows that I'm likely to win as long as I stay on message"?

It won't be him accepting a loss but refusing to leave. It'll be him making excuses and shoving fear down people's throats to deny reality. It's not like he hasn't already been doing this. The Republican party will stand behind this delusion.

I absolutely believe a civil war could happen if he loses. I believe one could happen if he wins. I believe one could happen if he suddenly got a heart attack and died and Mike beat Biden. What about this past year makes you think Trump or Americans think or act like rational human beings?
Sure, he might deny the results if it looks like he lost. If it's close, he probably will. Likewise, the Dems will deny the results if it's close. In both cases, it will get litigated and perhaps, if necessary, the Supreme Court will rule on it.

After that occurs, the Republican party would not stand behind Trump (in the unlikely scenario) if he chose to continue to deny reality. It's not "rationality" that will guide Trump but rather self-interest. If the results are litigated, and the ruling is not in his favor, he would become forever humiliated if he still tried to cling to power. Losing would be humiliating enough, being dragged out of the White House by the secret service and sent to prison would be more than he could handle.

Yeah that's what people said about the wall. Then the government shut down and it's still not clear if he can do it but damn if he didn't try. And then he shoved a bunch of innocent people in cages in case you still didn't think he was serious about hating brown people.

Don't underestimate just how ****ing insane Trump supporters are. I thought it was just the internet since the ones I know are just quietly annoying, but then I saw it right in front of me. OH is right. There will be terrorist attacks if he loses, there will be terrorist attacks or protests and a Kenosha every week or day if he wins.

I'm not sure where you're going with this. Are you saying he's done things that have shocked people before? Yes, I agree.

Are you saying that he's done things that are clearly in violation of the constraints on presidential power? Because that's what clinging to power after losing an election would be. (And yes, I realize he was impeached, but trying to negotiate for dirt on your opponent with a foreign leader is in a wholly different degree of violation than clinging to power after losing an election)

Since when has humility stopped Trump?

People didn't think the Republicans were going to back Trump as a nominee. At this point you should realize that the Republicans will do what ever they can to hold power. You're still expecting an irrational man to have some sense of rationality.

He literally claimed he had total authority over the states and called for an uprising when states wouldn't reopen when he wanted them to.

People were saying that all that talk about building the border wall was just hyperbole and he was only saying that he was going to take a harder stance on immigration. And then he went ahead and tried to build a ****ing literal border wall and shut down the government in the process.

You said him saying that he might not accept the results of the election was just chest beating and I'm saying that sometimes Trump goes through with the chest beating to the shock of everyone. Do not underestimate Trump. He might be an idiot but if you give him an inch he will take a mile.

This is probably one of the reasons that Twitter started to fact-check Trump's account. But the Supreme Court doesn't rule on Trump tweets. They will rule on a contested election. Even if you believe Trump is totally irrational, I think you'd agree that he has people he trusts who, if not entirely rational themselves, will tell Trump that it's over - he lost - and what the consequences would be if he tried to cling to power.

Can you imagine Ivanka whispering into his ear: "Yes, Daddy - it's a great idea for you to leverage what power you have left to overturn a legitimate election, cling to power, and start a Civil War in which thousands could be killed."
