What made Chula so great was his investment in a style of governance that left him extraordinarily unhappy. By defending it he was literally fighting for the psychological space to function. He was constantly in that I worked hard and it paid off I even have things camp but his actual existence was full of despair.

@ elph
Fair enough... Though both contribute nearly nothing. ;)

But yes I should also pretend to vote for Biden only cause Trump is pretending to be dictator.

no, but still more reform was accomplished than Marx would have thought possible without revolution

I still believe capitalism isn't the end of history, revolution is inevitable

but it's a bit like asking "what would the founders think", they'd be like "holy **** Airplanes!"

that's part of the main argument against participation in the system though... The reforms essentially make the current system more palatable and thus make revolution an even more distant possibility.

what is the act of voting so strenuous you have to sit out political action for 4 years?

Equating not voting with entirely sitting out on political action tells me that you rank it to be the foremost method of political action despite calls for "both".

Church. That was some powerful self-delusion. And he was so likable that you just couldn't help but want to convince him to discard that nonsense but smug enough that you didn't feel bad about being mean about it.

That’s basically what Foucault believed.

Voting is so separated from policy when everything gets compromised to dysfunction in the name of centrism though.

To me, the most incredible thing was that he didn’t understand how the blues informed the music of Led Zeppelin. I never got past that.
