Yeah. I’ll admit you got the best of that one.

Holy ****. Even Marx had no idea the environmental devastation capitalism was going to inflict on the planet. You think he would look at America and say look how liberated America is that they can put the name of their favorite capitalist in a box?

And yet you also stan for centrists like Hillary Clinton while bitching about voting. You're a club joiner. You want to join the punk club and you want to join the political winner club so you identify with people who can reliably win. You will become Chula in ten years. Guarantee it. Or maybe I'm wrong. You might have to have a mortgage to be that far down the Democrat rabbithole.

If any state is decided by one vote I’ll mail you my entire music collection.

You just want the free space.

Yea it's actually needlessly strenuous considering that the returns for doing so approach zero

You know all this just isn't the same without Chula. Trollheart was the lynchpin for music discussion and Chula was the same for political scrums.

I used to think he was going to be a Republican.

The thing is though his entire generation has already been tossed in the trash. They’re likely to become more and more radical as the permanency of their poverty and disenfranchisement becomes more apparent.

Honestly all politics aside... There is no rational reason for thinking your vote will ever make a difference.

It all relies on group patterns and trends. You don't cast a ballot for your group though. It's just doing so and hoping blindly others will do the same. But they make their decision independent of yours. So your decision has very nearly zero chance of having any impact.

jwb 08-22-2020 04:42 PM

Yes. It's inherent to the system and it's my go to rationalization for not voting when the reality is I'm just lazy apathetic and can't be bothered.

I'm just as likely to pretend to vote for Bernie as I am to actually vote for him.
