How many presidents, in their second terms, have made decisions that you'd classify as 'for the greater good', since they don't have to fear losing reelection?
Didn’t Obama pardon a bunch of people serving absurd sentences for petty drug crimes?

Eh, maybe (in fact, I think you're right). But would you count this as an action being for 'the greater good?'. Trump (albeit, with the help of Kim Kardashian) has also pardoned some offenders of petty drug crimes, but if they wanted to enact or initiate something for the greater good, they'd push to federally legalize or decriminalize marijuana, at the very least. In my mind, all drugs should be legal, but giving clemency or commutations to individual offenders does nothing to fix the root of the problem (i.e. the "War on Drugs" - thanks Nixon).

Does Biden oppose God? President Trump thinks so.

I thought that was pretty dope when Trump used that for his super bowl commercial

On and on til the break of dawn
Mother****ers in Portland stay ****ing strong

Quote:
The Pacific Northwest Youth Liberation Front, which advertised the Wednesday rally on social media, used Twitter to announce “Round 2” of the same demonstration on Thursday night with the slogan “No cops. No prisons. Total abolition.”

The group, which described itself as a “decentralized network of autonomous youth collectives dedicated to direct action towards total liberation,” did not immediately reply to a request for comment.

“You are not demonstrating, you are attempting to commit murder,” Mayor Ted Wheeler said Thursday in a hastily called news conference alongside Portland Police Chief Chuck Lovell. Wheeler also warned that the city anticipated more “attacks on public buildings” in the immediate future.
That federal building courthouse is getting razed bitches!

I don't know if that's true. Democrat presidents have done plenty of things that could be considered undemocratic (the bigggest example off the top of my head are the Japanese internment camps that FDR set up). Just because a president is a Democrat doesn't mean that every executive order they issue or warlike behavior they engage in is suddenly an extension of the Democratic will of the people. Limiting the power of the presidency would be meant to prevent executive overreach of power, whether said President is a Republican or Democrat.

And I think, in strict terms, America has elected more Republicans than Democrats, if we're starting the count from the right place (Democrats beginning with Andrew Jackson and Republicans beginning with Abraham Lincoln).

Giving the president less power sounds like a good idea to me. I think the problem goes much deeper than that though, and needs much more drastic measures. The problem is that many good ideas don't turn out the way they're meant. For instance the communes and anarchist camps that WWWP mentioned would be great but I think in reality humankind is just not good and altruistic enough to make it work and it would descend into fascism or violent everyone-for-themselves anarchism

C'mon Biden, all you have to do is sit in your basement, take your meds and binge Netflix...then boom, you'll win in November. Stop getting in front of podiums - Bloomberg learned that the hard way.
