I won't wait for an explaination, but it blows my mind how people can't figure out bringing in Republicans who've defected make it look like Biden is a sensible choice for the undecideds in the country, while Trump brings in the MyPillow guy.

Biden isn't trying to win Musicbanter.

If making Biden the nominee won't sway Republicans then adding more defected Republicans to the mix probably won't work either. But who knows, you can get Americans to do pretty much anything if you repeat yourself enough. Source: 2016-2020 and politics throughout my entire life, really.

It probably won't, but to be clear, the 42% that support Trump aren't moving. What he's going for is the ~10% of people who aren't sure. I can't wrap my head around what that indecision looks like, but I assume its "well the economy is good" crowd. (Or was).

But that's who he's going for. Almost all the optics are designed to say "Look, we're not insane, we're going to do these things* and you're not going to have to hear from the President daily."

*Things people agree with like CC and making the inequity less severe.
