I'm not sure if the South's "free labor" was an economic advantage. Makes much more economic sense in the long run to adopt machinery/automation to replace slave labor.
A biography I read on Nat Turner made that claim.

What the free labor argument made sense or not it was the main objection of business owners in the north.

I'm sure there were some people who thought "Why don't we just kill 'em?", I don't know about "many people" though.

I propose that we learn from Trump and communicate in short, direct, and uncomplicated bursts.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

You've got me in suspense now. I'm gripping my bloomers and clutching my pearls.

Give me a hint.
