I think it's just a thing.

I prefer the fact checking method that right are calling censorship.

Where they leave the post but they also leave an article proving why what they're saying is bull****.

With racism it often times involves harassment which they are trying to minimize on their platforms. Otherwise very bigoted people have prominent places to have their "discourse" on social media. Alex Jones never got taken off youtube until he was inciting violence and even then I kind of wish they hadn't because Alex Jones is funny.

News programs I think should be a bit more strict. We let climate change deniers debate actual scientists on live T.V. over the illusion of being fair and balanced. It's not fair nor balanced to give something that isn't supported by tons of research the same platform as something that is especially when the platform is intended to inform people. But that'd just take it back to consumerism and corporatism and what not.

That very well could be how it played out. I haven't brushed up on my knowledge of that history for sometime.

I thought documents came out proving that our government knew the Gulf of Tonkin was bull**** at the time but still used it to manufacture consent in the US public for going into Vietnam?

Yup, the Pentagon Papers. And as far as I know nothing happened to anybody and the war went on like nothing happened.

We need to start calling the so called Vietnam War by its correct name: The Resistance War Against America. It’s not only more historically accurate it also doesn’t ignore the hundreds of thousands of people we murdered in Cambodia in Laos.
