All it would take is good lighting and a well focused lens to bring out the nuance imo

There's lots of ways to nuance his nuts when you think about it. But in what way would the asked personally comply with his request?

1. I don't want a global leader either. But we're going to get one. I don't personally see a reality where that doesn't happen. It's always been the case, and I don't see when it ends. That said, if we're going to have one, this is better than the alternative reality. 2. I 100% agree with local authority ruling assuming there's no super-state authority involved. In the US our States frequently punish one community over another through funding mechanisms and educational benefits. If we find a way around this, and it's a competition for residents based on policies, then yes. 100% agree. 3. The military thing goes back to my first point. I'm not "down with it" but I'm also not down with having to have a job. Unfortunately, this is the time in which I'm alive. 4. Again you're welcome to your opinion. That's fine by me, but so we're clear I don't know how I would have demonstrated any moral position, and I certainly don't think I'm better than others for one reason or another. |

A large part of this is obviously the elites exploiting everyone they can get their mits on, but another necessary part is house negros like you chiding frustrated field negros for not seeing the wisdom of the plantation owners cause they know what they're doing.

So you're siding with American imperialism as a necessary evil or just siding with an old nostalgic internet buddy?

I mean he could have said "without worrying that African pygmies are going to storm the borders tomorrow and put a blow dart into everyone's skull."

If I could just say a word on Climate Change before I leave this thread for good. 1. America's guilt in terms of GHG emissions in the U.S. is bordering on a concentration of evil. Because not only has suburban sprawl dramatically increased those rates, but included in that terrible plan is redlining, the increase in NCDs for most Americans like diabetes and strokes, but also has lead to tremendous amounts of depression by way of isolation and depression - all because oil executives wanted more money. For this, I think we should put heads on pikes and send a message. Though I will for the moment savor the -$39 a barrel price of oil. 2. Having said that, the U.S. and those of us fighting against climate change have made solid strides in terms of the dramatic increase in the ability to get to a renewable future. The grid is cleaner, deregulated utilities across the country have led to the proliferation of solar panels, independent system operators are now putting the squeeze on coal and oil through market-like pricing, and the Northeast (I'm proud to say) has made leaps and bounds in the fight to get US offshore wind, despite the best efforts of the Trump administration to stop them. The future of climate is housing. The plan against urban housing is a plot, and I truely believe that. Even the aforementioned Chomsky agrees with it. This is really where I choose to invest any political capital I can get my hands on. But the idea that the US is a nightmare on Climate Change can only be true is you look at the output over the 21st Century. It's not wrong, but it's bad analysis by Omission. Anyway, I'm going to take WWWP's wisdom to heart and excuse myself. Good luck and be well, friends. |
