Hopefully, fast food will be connected with spreading the virus soon and be completely shutdown. There’s no reason for fast food workers to be risking death when the CEO’s who could physically distance at work aren’t even coming in. People can cook their own food ffs.

Fast food in New York is still open so unless something crazy happens we are not closing. I could take two weeks off and then be expected to come in two weeks later because we'd still be open and the epidemic would be worse so I'd be in a worse situation. It's more like I need to quit.

Lol cleaning standards. They can give all the updated standards they want but when you're working in a restaurant that's flooded with business those standards go out the window cause the bosses of my bosses don't give a **** about anything but drive thru time. Just today we had an inspection by BK higher up to make sure we were complying with **** and the person was laughing that social distancing was impossible in a kitchen while she and my store manager were crowding the **** out of me inspecting ****.

New hygiene standards are a joke and everyone in the business knows it and just puts it out of their mind because slaves don't challenge their masters. You don't want to know how often I wash my hands when we're in a rush, which now is basically my whole shift.

I'm hardwired to sneer at my fellow man and their illusions but while I'm full of self-indulgent **** in plenty of ways I legit don't think I'm wrong that the human race is hopeless as far as becoming anything worth putting your faith in. We innovate in amazing ways and can be great people in certain, small ways, but as a whole we're contemptible and so of course we needed a bat**** crazy book like the Bible to come along and just be like "OMG you're all so horrible what the **** is so hard to understand about 'love thy neighbor'?!" And so of course it failed but did give us countless genocides.

I suspect you start with not being raised in modern society where you're accustomed to modern convenience. Being from Wyoming probably gives you a serious leg up tbh. You should seriously look into a commune or something.

It's just that I've spent so much time trying to convince myself of the good in people for my own sanity, it doesn't feel like winning to give up.

I am honestly the perfect recruit for a cult, but no one has ever reached out to me.

I understand. Really I do. Most people are likable and mostly tolerable (at least in small doses) and plenty of people can surprise you, but that's been true presumably for all of history and yet here we are with history books full of depressing ****. And also here we are with all of these likable people who love their kids and want to help you out and not screw you over who'll blindside you over and over and over with the kind of **** I hear everyday that basically amounts to big L liberalism.

Nobody wants to help out anyone they don't think is pulling their weight and what they think is pulling their weight is always what they self-indulgently presume to be their own standards of pulling weight which does not include any consideration for lower physical ability, lower intelligence, difference in mentality, or difference in background. Perfectly nice people will proudly throw under the bus anyone who might be covered by the ideal of "from each according to his ability to each according to his need" because there's a million ways to rationalize how that person who needs more is simply a parasite.

The only thing considered is whether anyone else is annoying you by inconveniencing you.
