Not in terms of the damage the bullet will do.

I'm not saying it doesn't matter at all, but it doesn't remove the threat at all.

It moves slowly enough to make attempts feel futile and we're more than likely past the point of no return, but us being behind it actually makes it a little less threatening since we have some semblance of control over it.

The problem with conversations about climate is that, irregardless of what the scientists say right now, there is hard evidence that the planet has gone through warm cycles in the past that make what we are seeing today look like nothing. And human activity wasn't a factor at all in those previous periods, but we still saw Ice Ages and periods where CO2 was in high abundance anyway.
Damn dude. You’re crazier than me.

It extends the breeding periods for many vectors.

See? Humans are too stupid and useless for socialism. I mean "irregardless" is not a word.

Keep a few grains of salt on hand when you hear these very well refuted climate change denialist arguments that you're parrotting.
We still don't know what caused those massive CO2 spikes during the Eocene actually, which is why it's interesting. Solve that mystery and you've have a better model.

That's a stupid and clearly motivated reason to reject (sorry, "take with a grain of salt") what the scientific community has to say on the subject, but here:

What triggered the Paleocene/Eocene thermal maximum methane release?

Very large release of mostly volcanic carbon during the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum

You can borrow my saltshaker when you're browsing Federalist and National Review articles for a rebuttal if you want.

Well according to studies as of last year-

Quote:
What caused the spike in CO2 during this period is not known, though scientists believe there could have been an increase in volcanic activity.
...which again, supports what I've said before. You'd get a better model if you had a concrete answer. I don't care what scientists "believe" on the outset. They don't actually know, and in that 2nd article you linked to they consistently speak of just how much uncertainty there is. For all we know it was some previous civilization flying around in gas powered vehicles en-masse.

I'll take false dilemmas for $200, Alex. Also -10 points for using a journalistic source and not a scientific one.
