It's less about "the other" and more about "these guys aren't paying the taxes everyone else are but still getting federal $$$ and benefits."

If they have a car and pay for gas then they probably pay more taxes than I do.

I don’t think that theory adds up but whatever there’s lots of possible evolutionary causes for tribalism

Semi-related note: I think being less tribal than average makes it harder to stay employed.
