I don't think it's as important as he thinks, but it's definitely a very common and viable way get information out there. Maybe more effective than the news now days.

@Anteater, i see your point though fam, i agree it makes a great tool in information warfare but my point it that its sad that its came down to that being even in the conversation about what qualifies a candidate lol

It scares me because the Christchurch shooter said this but at this point our idiocy is so profound that I think the Chinese structure of government is preferable to our democracy (maybe?). When a picture of Trump saying “No” with a frog looking on is more influential than the issues “the people” shouldn’t get a say.

I don’t have a good answer but democracy isn’t it. It’s ****ing terrible.

People have shorter attention spans than they used to. Other than that, same old song: folks have been disillusioned about government for decades upon decades. What's happening now is that you need to be able to communicate a core platform in such a way that it becomes ubiquitous and easy to rally around. That's why both Trump and Andrew Yang are able to cultivate the sort of gamechanging online followings most candidates would give their left nutsacks for.
