That melted right away out here and it's been mild. Mild enough to disc golf without having to bundle up too much.

That’s always a bonus! I have been doubling up layers the last few days to get the dog walked. It hasn’t been gradual at all, it went from being quite mild to being “baltic” pretty much overnight

Buffalo Update: Total whiteout. Drifts are now 7 feet high. I can't see my elevated porch anymore. Power keeps going out, PC is down, and on top of that, my cell phone provider just had a nationwide outage so I'm dead in the water for the next few days.

All roads are shut down, and the weather warning states that travel is "impossible" and only for "life or death" circumstances.

I have two appointments Tuesday and Wednesday and, just as my luck would have it, the eleven days after that will all be well above freezing temperatures with constant rain to melt all the snow. But I'll need my car for the two days prior so I'm going to spend Christmas and the next few days after manually hand-shoveling with no means of emergency contact.

The older I get the more I feel like it is worth it to go back to FL and gamble on the occasional hurricane tbh. Rather than know for a fact it's going to get cold.
