This is me btw. Having not seen a post from Ori in a while and knowing he's a Virginian I'm curious if he's been evacuated. There are areas around me that have had mandatory evacuations but not mine. I'm going to work tomorrow on my day off because the person who'd be working my shift got evacuated. Should be some tasty slow days.

^ Do you have an evacuation option for you and your mum? I'm not sure you should just wait on "mandatory" because it looks like you live in a low-lying coastal area, which is not going to be good, I'm afraid. At least latest projections have Florence veering a little more to the south, so you won't be getting the full force.

On a side note, who are all these guys grumbling about 90-plus temperatures? Where I live, for about eight months of the year we go above 90 at some point in the day. You guys should just chill - geddit?

We'll be alright. We don't live in a particularly at risk area and won't see any storm surges. We've never evacuated for a hurricane and we've always been perfectly fine. I actually like sitting on the porch with a book during a good hurricane.
