I've never been to Poitiers but Google tells me that it has a beautiful cathedral.
The region where I'm vacationing right now (somewhere in the Ardeche) is full of hippies, apparently they flocked to the area in the 60s or 70s for some reason, it's fun

We don't have a lot of contact with husbands Brother as he came over for a family BBQ,got drunk got abusive.......some time had past and he then turned up for a surprise/shock visit and he looked really different...He had earlier in the year found to have Prostate Cancer..very bad..but 6 months past treatment he is seemingly doing ok..hence the brick/shock..

Nice area for a break...good for others to see what a good choice ....
