Pretty goddamn ****ing cold and windy for Central Florida at the moment. I hear there's some winter cyclone up North stirring up a bunch of trouble and several New England states were supposedly quoted at -10 and below? It still hasn't snowed/hailed here yet on the East Coast of Central Florida, I think that only happens on average once out of every 10 years here, but still, we get irregularity here and instantaneously know what's up in the North. To you snowy people up there, keep yourselves safe and warm!

We get this kind of weather every year around this time, late Jan/early Feb, and every year it's sensationalized more and more. People are planning to stay home from work, school closings, emergency procedures in place (well that needs to be done regardless). It's almost as if people have a 6 month memory block and can't remember that we go through this **** just about every year.

Of course, climate change is a real thing, and I'm not about to go down that rabbit hole, but one can only hope in jest that Buckethead is a prophet, which kind of covers both bases in a Schrödinger kind of way to quell the voices that are quick to judge, quick to anger, yet slow to understand.

...or not. *shrug*

I still have to go to work.

The coldest temps I’ve ever experienced was -27 in January ‘85
which was only a couple of degrees colder than almost exactly
one year earlier. Around the same time - about December of ‘83 -
we had a wind chill of -82. Told people to stay home and if you just
had to take a bus to work that you should not touch anything made
of steel - like the bus stop pole. This was Chicago in the early 80s.

Meant to be horrific snow. Nothing in the Midlands. Saw footage of Wales and somewhere up north earlier, very snowy.

It's just wet and cold here.
