Yes, that process looks like it might help by giving a financial incentive to collect existing plastic, but it's not a magic solution to everything. Also, right at the beginning, the white-hat guy says, "Plastic is just like oil and it came out of the ground at one time the same way." Surely that's not true at all?!
Anyway thanks, mindfulness, for putting something optimistic in this thread; it needs all the good news it can get! Here's a very neat idea that can improve the delivery/storage of renewable energy:-
