I'll agree NPR is legit.
CNN can be good same with NBC. There are a few aspects of those networks that can kill it. I don't necessarily believe in a one stop shop for news. Too many biases running around. I'd rather check multiple sources at a time. That is nothing against those who do believe in any of the above sources. Very few sites are garbage, buzzfeed, Huffpaint, vox, etc.

I've always cross referenced stories because it's literally the smart thing to do. Then again, you have people using Wikipedia as a reliable source for info and that's just ridiculous.

At least wikipedia can be edited by intelligent people. You don't have that option with most online blogs parading themselves as "news" sources.
