I figured it'd be better to post a single thread to discuss the situation in Europe. We had ones for Paris x 2 and the Lee Rigby murder, so may as well have one thread instead of several/me clogging the news thread up.

Thoughts? Is there a problem? If so how do you think we fix it?

Yes, definitely a problem, probably the best way to start combating it within the UK at least would be to temporarily close borders in order to discuss and enforce new regulations and extensive background checks while abolishing free movement

Also to start stopping radicalisation, a good place to start combating that would be in prisons

Huge fucking problem. And many of them come to the west not knowing the proper language and resort to crime to make ends meet. Honestly, what was the point in moving if you aren't willing to assimilate? I want people in our countries to understand that the west is the best. Black, white, muslim, mexican, whatever you may be as long as you're cool with assimilating and understanding some western values I definitely want you here. But if not go back to your fucking country.

They sure are some scary guys. I think that the only way to solve the problem is by making Muslims into second class citizens. Building resentment is the only way to get these savages to change.

I don't know anything the prisons other than what I've heard but it sounds like they are pretty much recruitment centres for this sort of thing.

I like Tommy, I used to fall for the stuff people would say about him but I took some time watching his appearances on telly and on radio and found myself agreeing with much of it. He doesn't get everything right but I can relate to him a lot.

Islam ****s up everything it touches. How big of an ******* do you have to be to kill people in Sweden? You take the most tolerant accepting culture in the world. Move in and **** all over it. Every Muslim country on earth is a ****hole. I don't care about left or right or any of that ****. It's a piece of **** religion. How do I know that? By looking at the places where it's practiced. Syria has a secular regime and it's still ****ed. The reason it's ****ed is because it's been torn by civil war for six years, which is actively fuelled by imperialist powers. Hell, leaked documents prove that the US government planned to use the IS as leverage against Assad. Same goes for the various rebel groups, including "moderate" ones (read: Al-Qaeda and aligned groups). Extremist groups are not a product of islam in and by itself. They gain prominence because they're armed and funded by the US, Norway, Britain, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia among others.

Maybe if the "democratic" world police would butt out of the Middle East (and Northern Africa), there'd be peace in the region.

I feel most of what you do is trolling, but I do wonder if you understand and accept the difference between radical/militant Islam and the otherwise peaceful religion of Islam, or do you just choose to believe that every muslim, everyone who follows the faith is a terrorist in waiting? Just wondering.

Treating them differently than the "normal" citizens inherently puts them in a different class. Especially when so many people point at the religion as a whole to blame for radicalized Arabs. For example, look at how quickly the discussion in here turned to border control—people are confusing the issue and more often than not, "solving" the "problem" harms more people than it helps.

There are approx. 2.2 billion Christians on the planet. Islam is second with 1.6 billion. Secularity is in third place. Hinduism is fourth with 1 billion. Nothing else really comes close.

Simply blaming religion is very innacurate. It's not even the primary reason for conflicts in the world, neither international nor domestic.

There's over 7 billion people on this orb. That's 7 thousand million.

Perspective. A stack of 7 billion pennies would be 6,607 miles tall. The number of people killed on 9/11 would be stack less than 0.3% of a mile.

Terrorism sucks. War sucks. But neither define the overwhelmingly vast majority of us.

It has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the world. Why is that the fault of their religion? I don't know. But if every where you go smells like **** it's time to wash your ass.

So I guess you're figuring that it's cool to live in a place where the majority of people believe in Sharia Law? That's awesome. Get a Muslim majority in your country. Nobody's saying they're perfect, obviously, but when you come out with statements like "highest infant mortality rate" and then follow that up with "I don't know why" you lose credibility. Have you even considered that the mortality rate might be linked more to poverty and war than the religion? It's not as if Islam preaches infanticide, now is it? You can't blame everything bad about a people solely on their religion, no matter how you might want to.

What is your experience of Islam, anyway? Are you speaking here from a position of knowledge or just assumption? And though I may be wrong, I don't think all of Islam practices Sharia: is that not the more hardline part of it? I admit I don't know, but I feel it's unlikely every muslim lives under that kind of law, otherwise there would be no muslim women doctors, engineers, etc etc.

I'm pretty sure every terrorist attack since 9/11 has been committed by a Muslim, srry people it's just the truth. We're at war with Islam and it's time we wake up and realize it. Anybody that says they had a wonderful experience with a muslim taxi driver or something and that not all of them are bad people is a stupid platitude and anecdotal evidence which doesn't amount to shit.

It only has a greater number of Muslims than literally every other nation on earth, not sure if that fits in with the criteria.
