I'm glad you've found a video that will help you believe what you want to believe. Some people can't find those as easily.
Not really in the position to be condescending when you see a video with clear narrative and chock it up to ''oh, they must be making an independent movie''

Bringing up someone's ideology is the same level of weak discussion move too, you know.

Finally, Mark picks as one of his "very, very favourite records of all" something by his fellow curmudgeon Frank Zappa: The Mothers Of Invention's finest hour, 1967's We're Only In It For The Money, which satirised the contemporary hippy movement with a ruthlessness somewhat at odds with the peace and love dictates of the time.

"I just think it's one of the funniest records I've heard," he says. "I like Freak Out! too, that still sounds great, really powerful, but We're Only In It For The Money is so relevant to the Manchester scene today, it's unbelievable. Like, I walk down Whitworth Street and someone comes up and says, Mark Smith, you created this scene, where can I get some E? Or pot? Ha ha! I say, I don't bloody know! He says, Well, me and the guys came down in a van from Wales to get the scene, but they won't let us in The Hacienda! And they've got the Beloved/Soup Dragons centre-parting, and they're asking about drugs. It's just like We're Only In It For The Money!

Nah, I've not made a firm case for either direction, just stating one of the possibilities that the video fails to explore. You're the only one who's certain of its use despite glaring lack of evidence, which is what my original post was about. Be careful man, you're eating up propaganda with both hands, you're going to choke.

If CNN made a story on a similarly flimsy premise built on assumptions, you wouldn't believe a word of it. Come on man.

Nah, I feel its clear so I'm on board unless clearly proven otherwise for the time being, but if CNN covered something flimsy but I felt it was clear enough then I'd say fair enough until proven otherwise but I wouldn't know what they cover because I don't watch CNN, I barely get any of their channels here on Sky

So basically you're saying it's good to have faith in your assumptions? Again, super scientific there.

And you only think that because it already aligns with your ideology. Of course nobody is ever aware of this and when they're made aware they usually just pin it on the other person being a moron so idk why I'm even making this post.

Nope, only if I think there is enough evidence supporting the assumption at the time which in this case I do

Thumbs up

At the end of the day we simply don't know what that was being filmed for but it's definitely not to stage a refugee drowning.

Because it confirms what you already believe.
