I mean, it's not a point that 50 million people at least haven't already made, but it's still a valid (boring) point. A lot of people latch onto the racism angle to silence people who disagree, even if racism is a legit reason for a lot of Islamophobia. It's more that when an actual intellectual discussion is going on that some people just gravitate to calling someone a racist rather than actually listening to the other person, which stifles any dialogue.

There is a difference between people who have a problem with religion, and by extension Islam/people who think that Islamic terrorism is a problem, and white trash who think that Sikhs are Muslims. Many people do not seem to be aware of the difference.
