Actually they didn't, the conflict between Croats and Bosniaks was limited to Herzegovina and only because in the general craziness of the war, some bat**** Herzegovina Croatians decided they wanted to secede from Bosnia and join Croatia (fomented by the then leadership of Croatia). In other parts of Bosnia, Croatians and Bosniaks were fighting together against the Serbs.
There is also zero animosity between Croatians (from Croatia) and Bosniaks today. We love Bosniaks and they love us back. In fact, I would say that among all of the ex-Yugoslav ethnicities, the Croats and the Bosniaks have the best relationship. This cannot be said for the relationship between Serbians and Croatians (both Christians). Stop trying to find a basis for your islamophobia dude. |
Not that I'm taking anyone's side but it's kind of true that Americans, who have no real culture of our own, sometimes latch onto our ancestor's culture for no logical reason. I seem to remember the IRA hitting up people from Boston (the Irish-American "capital") for money.

^^ That may be true, but even if it was in this case, there is no part of Croatian culture that is Islamophobic. We don't have a history of it (like we do with hating on Serbs). What happened in Bosnia was a one off occurrence so it doesn't make any sense it would trickle down to 3rd generation Croatians on other continents.

If so, he's just another prejudiced asshole, Croatian or not. :/ |
He's not from Croatia though. He's from the land of stupidity.
