Missile strikes on Syria - what now?
 

On the 7th of April, the US carried out a direct military attack on Syria with 59 Tomahawk missiles. The attack was aimed at neither IS or Al-Qaeda, but the Syrian government, which is allied with Russia.

What is the future of the Syrian conflict? Was the US attack legitimate, or against international law? Are we experiencing a Cold War? What are the prospects for WWIII in all this?

Word is that only 19-23 missiles actually hit Syria. 1 supposedly went into the Mediterranean. They rest are said to have been shot down. Some posit that 40 of the 60 were never even fired, but gifted to zionist Israel.

I don't believe the Israel story, but videos have been posted of Syria shooting down some of the Tomahawk missiles, so "59 for 59" sounds like a joke.
