Went down a fun rabbit hole today reading about microplastics in the ocean. The title of this article is clickbaity but still has good info:
https://earther.gizmodo.com/theres-l...n-o-1840175488 This led to me reading a long discussion about the Fermi Paradox and how a handful hypothesize that the invention of plastic is the Great Filter - whenever a species invents plastic it either goes extinct or becomes too dependent on plastic to explore space. Basically we're all gonna die thanks goodbye
