My dad bailed when I was two, so one half of that statement is correct.
It's been over a decade so I can't really remember much. We had something called "Schneebonics" though, derived from the ridiculous slang used by one cadet that sort of filtered down to the rest of the school. I clearly remember "jenk", "mug", and "jenk mug" being highly common, though I'm not entirely sure how they were used. We also had various forms of military jargon that we ended up using no matter how much we resisted.

I knew some kids who were homeschooled with experimental methods of teaching. They grew up into weird yeenagers I lost contact with. Seems pretty ****ing cruel. Almost more of an ocd need for control and surveillance fueled by a failin marriage the cases I saw. Borderline if not complete abuse. I caught up with one such parent not too long ago and our conversation concluded with her apologizing and confessing that she didnt know what she was doing. I havent seen her kid but last i heard he wasbt well.

Home-schooled kids miss out on a lot of social experiences that are ****ing crucial.
"Alright, son, we've taught you all that we can, and now you've graduated. Now go out there, interact with other people, and find a job. Good luck." |

But most of us, I think, graduated from highschool before 2010/2011, which is around the same time that the mobile data/public WiFi era truly began if I remember right. It has to be different now, no parent can effectively isolate their kid from youth culture (all modern culture really) as long as the kid has internet access, and they WILL have an internet connection if they have a phone. And if kids can talk to each other and coordinate behind the closed doors of their phones, they have to be getting into some ****.

The boarding school I can understand, that must have been tough, but it can't be that difficult for kids going to regular private schools around town to get into **** before and after school, not today at least.

Our dorms didn't need patrolling. That's how pathetic it was was. No sneaking over to the girls' dorms. No breaking into the kitchens or TV room after dark. No ritualistically placing your willy in a pig's head. Nothing. Their idea of breaking the rules was taking an extra chocolate bar from your tuck box on tuck day.
