That's ****ing incredible! I can't speak for other countries, but here in Ireland private medical insurance (for anyone without a medical card, which means they get free medical care as they have longterm illness, eg my sis) is being almost enforced, which on the one side is a bad thing (extra monthly expense) but on the other is a good thing, as nobody should really have to pay large medical bills once they have insurance.

Only half-joking. If you don't have good insurance or savings you're kind of ****ed. It's the biggest theme of the show, right alongside "meth is bad".
