Sounds legit. You're not going over the top.

He existed.

If you think silently walking out on someone you don't want to hear from is over the top then I don't know what to tell you.

If you think my comment about going over the top was directed at anything other than Hawk's post I don't know what to tell you.

The fact that anything in that post is remotely over the top is what I was commenting on.

Sounds like every commencement speech I ever attended.

I've said my fair share of negative things about Trump in this thread, but I think everyone of them has been fair and sourced. So I'll say something positive about the man, because, while much of this trip to the Middle East has been loaded with hypocrisy and misstatement, he did demonstrate either the tact, or the learned response to actually pay attention when his protocol officers tell him things, to NOT take Netanyahu's offer to visit the Western Wall with him:

However, I'm still struggling to understand how ANYONE can say that Trump is moving in a positive direction. Setting aside all the scandal over Comey, Russia, etc. (which is asking a lot, I know), what POSITIVE policy steps has he taken? Not conservative or liberal policies, but moving forward on ANY policy? Not executive orders that can be overruled with the flick of a pen, not tweets or white paper proposals. I can literally think of one and his name is Gorsuch - sure a big get, but among the most pathetically easy layups any president will ever get.

The vessel that many on this board and many millions of Americans believed would promote their agenda (which was a nebulous and shifting concoction of economic nationalism and distrust of the 'other') has done nothing except play golf. What are you hanging your hats on? The Republicans had 8 years, 8 long years, as they would tell you, to draft beautiful Obamacare repeal legislation. Sure, they couldn't vote on it until they recaptured Congress and the presidency, but you could still write it. Trump gets a little bit of a pass because even he was pretty sure he was going to lose until the night of, so fine, not much prep work was done. But Ryan? McConnell? The rest of the political hacks, who eat, sleep, and **** conservative ideology? How could ANYONE say you are PROUD to belong to that group?

A bit disjointed, sorry. Living in DC I see groups of tourists walking around with MAGA hats. But outside of the '**** you liberal elites' that hat/movement/hastag represents, what do you have to actually hang that hat on? It is legitimately shocking that people can operate while suffering so much cognitive dissonance. Shocking and sad. Because while they high-five over those 'liberal snowflake cucks' freaking out in Washington, the country they claim to be fighting for, one filled with open fields for homesteading, clean streams for fishing, economic opportunity in the heartland, a growing middle class... these things are actively being subverted by their leadership.

Double Edit: The walk-out shouldn't really have been covered, but hey it's the Vice-President so of course they did. What it comes down to is they were exercising their rights, much like Mr. Pence does every time he calls homosexuality an abomination and compares abortion to murder. The same idiots complaining on Facebook about snowflake college kids and their evil liberal professors are the ones saying they'd never send their kids there because such schools are 'dens of iniquity'. Says a lot about their faith in their god, their kids, their values, and their neighbors...

Like their stupid hick kids could even get into Notre Dame

I also would like to add if those students oppose homophobia and misogyny they shouldn't have gone to Notre Dame. Their tuition directly funded one of the greatest institutions of stupidity and hate of all time: Catholicism. Their stated doctrine is exactly in line with Pence. **** Pence, sure, but **** Catholicism and Notre Dame, too. So **** those students. They are what they think they're protesting against.

Budget proposal that just automatically assumes that the bill the House approved will become law in its current state.

TANF and more SNAP cuts as well.

I'm not really surprised. It is typical for Republicans to want to slash safety net programs while inflating military sepnding.
