Trump admits he fires Comey specifically because of the Russia probe. On a scale of 1 to 10, how's that sit on your justice scale?

Sean Spicer released a statement where he didn't deny what Trump said at all. He can't. It's an official record at this point.
His spin is that it's all about Trump trying to build up relations with Russia, and that the leak itself is the big story. Obstruction of Justice is lurking around the corner. And now Trump is on this huge overseas junket and he's going to have to be dealing with reporters shouting out questions about Russia rather than what he wants the visit to be about. Numerous talking heads are saying there's going to be some very tense meetings behind closed doors with the officials he's meeting with over what's gone down the past 10 days and how much they can trust Trump and his administration.

Hearsay =/= smoking gun
Like, ever. There's no reason to believe that it's true and equally no reason to believe that it isn't. I'm just so sick of the media breathlessly repeating things without verifying them just because it makes Trump or whoever they don't like look bad.

I'm even more skeptical of the media than I am of Trump. You see far right conservative news sources using anonymous sources all the time, and they are rightfully discredited. Why should the NYT get a pass just because they're setting the agenda? They played a part in creating Trump...but the genie isn't going back in the bottle. Time to up your game MSM...

Funny how Trump's "fake news" strategy has taken hold with so many people.
Why did Spicer not call the NYT's story "fake news"? How come he didn't deny it? Like I said, it's already an official record. The note takers aren't the leakers. It's once it's made official and circulated that someone in the Washington belt decides to hand it over. Everyone I've been listening to the past few hours agrees on this. On both sides. There's people within the administration covering their asses right now as not to be found complicit later down the road. No one in The White House wants to become part of the Trumpgate Seven. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watergate_Seven
