I think this sentiment neatly sums up why Trump won.

Feelings are beating facts. For everyone.

Well, for many people, it seems. I've been saying this for a long time ...
and it's not just concerning various Trumpisms.

Only about 18% of the US population voted for this jackoff,
but 100% will have to deal with the consequences.

We need proven statistical evidence of this. Not just your word.

Only thing I can come up with (searching the net) is people are killing themselves because they can't deal with the stress. Which is highly debatable on weather or not that has anything to do with healthcare or the over all health of our people.

If you desperately want to stretch the goal posts you could say that overpriced healthcare is having an effect on mental health, but other than that I don't see our medical system having any direct impact on how unhealthy American's are.

Treating workers like **** doesn't force them to eat so many french fries. And **** most of yall hypocrites because of how much I've heard people bad mouth Batlord for working at Burger King.

What your pointing out is an economic and social issue rather than a healthcare issue.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Still waiting to see evidence of this "great reduction" which requires people to actually follow their doctors recommendation after leaving the office. Preventative care only works for those who listen, which from 30ish years of anecdotal evidence is hardly ever the case.

Preventative practices require people to make lifestyle changes not take pills until they feel better. Stop being so lazy, your word vomit is boring.

Im patiently waiting for the day you stop blindly throwing darts at a wall of oppressors hoping one sticks.

Which is why I said practices and not treatments.. which I assumed you were also talking about since treatments are performed on the patient and generally do not expect much of them after leaving.

All the blood pressure tests in the world are not necessarily going to stop people from smoking, eating meat, being stressed, etc.. Increasing awareness =/= increasing health if people are not willing to take the appropriate actions to reduce the cause. Yes, blood pressure medicine helps, I get that.

Also, to get specific, can you give me one example of a preventative treatment that helps with a poor diet? Cause I can't think of a one.

Edit: I do agree with you with examples like vaccinations and surgical procedures, btw.
