I showed up an hour early to my internship so lets talk about preventative treatment and society. As I said earlier I agree that if everyone had access to doctors that at the very least could give the preventative advice we would see an increase in overall health. My question is how much of an increase? Preventative recommendations are not actually treatments(some are) but suggestions leaving it up to the individuals to follow through on listening to their doctors. So Person A leaves the doctor and goes back into a society force feeding them an unhealthy lifestyle, now what?
Do you have some stats or information correlating preventative medicine with increased health? Specfically in the US if possible. Or some way to demonstrate your claim? Again the ****ty healthcare system needs some fixing but if we are discussing public health i think we have much bigger fish to fry and your pointing your finger in the wrong direction. Might as well be sending burn victims to dentists for a teeth cleaning. As usual if there is some flaw in my logic or im missing a major point do tell. And sorry if this is a ****ty response forums and cellphones dont mesh well. Ill come back to clarify and clean up later if i have to. |

My thinking is if people can't go see a doctor all kinds of fixable things don't get fixed. Strep throat, scabies, syphilis, pink eye, and on and on. Am I wrong to conclude our general public health could be improved by allowing people to fix this stuff? I'm thinking in your mind it's like when a person confuses weather and climate but if you could do me the kindness of spelling it out for me. |

Pretty much exactly this. If you don't work for the bigger companies in the country, you basically get the worst treatment you can find. It's all about greed and not wanting to provide a healthy wage for the workers involved. That's why so many people just start their own businesses (which can be a very smart route). Small businesses need to be catered to more because that's the main thing that will bring the economy back on track. People can disagree with that all they want, but there's no way you can argue that small businesses have created a great living for those that couldn't find it before. It's allowed people to learn skills they never thought they had and plus, nothing wrong with being your own boss. I did it for a while. It's stressful but it can be worth it if done properly. (no im not talking about my clickbait job).

Stress is a killer. A silent, but very deadly killer.

Or do you think they'll play along with the garbage society the same as they ever have and try to discredit him within the normal political hate channels that accomplish nothing but sound bites?
