I'm thinking that 2018 may be more of an uplifting year for the country in some ways with some justice hopefully being served and a midterm election turnaround. How much this shows thru the body politic, it's a bit hazy, but one could hope and act in ways to hasten this.To keep it in Nixonian perspective, it took something like 9 or 10 months after the Saturday Night Massacre before we had the guy resign. Of course, we then had the bumbling Ford to contend with.

Anyone catch this this morning?
Rex Tillerson formerly welcoming top Russian official Sergie Lavrov in front of the press this morning. As they both turn to walk away a reporter asks Tillerson loudly about the Comey firing. Lavrov looks startled then turns back and asks the reporter: He was fired? After being told yes he says: You're joking? Then looks kinda disgusted and walks away while shaking his head. I assume he was on a plane all night and hadn't been told about it. Tillerson looked like he wanted to crawl into a hole and die.

Ya, ya it was a joke. Just trying to be overly dramatic.

Read the article I linked, it explains the situation pretty well.

I'd say the Dems would like Pence a lot better than Trump at this point: at least he's got something resembling a track record in government and is possible to reason with.
...or we can just wait for The Rock. The Independent.co UK - The Rock is seriously considering running for president
