I've had somebody try to rob me at gun point. I never felt I needed a gun afterwards.
But god damn guns are cool. You could blow somebody's brains all over the place with a gun.

I'm guessing you're referring to the late Jack Chick.

^ This looks uncomfortably close to the truth. And talking of the truth, aren't people worried about Trump's attitude to it:-
(i) Lie to the press: - as on inaugaration day, when he described rain as sunshine. - as when he described chaos, confusión and protests over his ill-conceived travel ban as "going nicely" (ii) Lie about the press: - as when he says, "All negative polls are false." - as when he accuses them of writing "fake news." For the record, "fake news" are deliberately fabricated stories to serve as click bait. Even if mainstream reporting is biased or inaccurate, it's not "fake news." - describing the press as "the enemy of the people". A term like this is a red flag, haha, to anyone familiar with Stalin-era Russia. It's a very sinister, non-specific accusation, which, if unchallenged, allows for all manner of persecution. (iii) Muzzle the press: - White House blocks CNN, other news organizations from press briefing - Feb. 24, 2017 Dan Rather is such a famous US newsman that even I've heard of him. Here's what he posted yesterday about the Trump admin's treatment of his profession. For a guy who's been in the business for decades, it's a pretty damning condemnation:- Quote:

I'm not a 2nd Amendment nut either. I don't even know that it needs to be an amendment at all. If it's there so people can arm themselves against the government then the time when that would be particularly helpful probably died with the advent of the tanks and bombers. And if it's just about self-defense then I don't think that is important enough to make it such an inviolate right. I probably wouldn't care that much if it became a state issue.

It is a state issue to many degrees.
Here in California: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_la...#Summary_table Right next door in Arizona: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_Arizona
