I agree. Donald Trump is the king of change.

He's not currently doing that. He's only proposing to punish companies with heavy tariffs for sending their jobs overseas.

I don't feel like that's an incentive though.

It sounds more like a punishment.

Obama tried to get a bill like this passed and it was major news
Where have you been the last 4 years?

I could ask you the same question: where have YOU been the last EIGHT years? As I said before: Obama had good intentions, but his execution was consistently incompetent: he just didn't draw attention to himself the way Trump does. I know all about the Jobs Act. And if Obama had gone about things a different way, something like it might have actually passed. It isn't just the Republicans fault.

Or giving them massive tax breaks to stay here. All at our expense of course.

There are a lot of companies that would bring their business to the us if there were more tax breaks and such. It'd be a short term boost to the system that will dwindle over time like it historically has, so at least we can party a little bit before we face the music.

These tax breaks already exist. I know especially in NY state. They keep boasting about how they are bringing jobs to NY but all they are doing is offering businesses the opportunity to not pay taxes for decades at a time and of course the tax burden ends up falling on the people that work for said business and everyone else. It's the main reason that certain school art and music programs are shutting down or the entire school is closing all together.
They are planning to build a Legoland near by and it will bring a nice influx of jobs but the downside is that they are going to be able to go 30 years without paying any state/local taxes. The same taxes that go towards helping schools in the area and the municipality's budget.
