I really hope it isn't the death of the GOP. As much as I generally disagree with Republicans, I can't help shake this feeling that a multi party system could be beneficial. It just sucks that the GOP has had its head up its ass for so long.

You genuinely don't see any similarity between not serving homosexuals and not serving another race?

ofc there are similarities but would you honestly not rather out these horrible people than have them just shove subtle racism down these customers throats? at least then everyone knows and you can choose not to support them.

Do you remember the Chik Fil A incident? Where their business boomed following homophobic statements? Your faith in these businesses failing is too optimistic. That's also not to mention that homophobic attitudes are more rampant in places where that kind of attitude is considered acceptable, so they have lots of allies to keep their business afloat. Giving people the opportunity to strip other citizens of rights and privileges because of things that are out of their control is never acceptable. I think they should lose their business license if they refuse service in that manner.

you don't think things would have went a little differently had they refused to serve them? it's one thing to have these opinions but entirely different to act on them.

think of how many other chik fil a's there are out there as well.

at the end of the day it would only be small business' that would ever do this, and only if they had incredibly poor business sense.
