I agree. Obsessed over the thought of missing out on something is more like it. The actual spirit of giving, and the original meaning of it is lost in the mass hysteria of buying that new flat screen 4k tv for six hundred bucks.
The start of winter and the impending crippling depression from having SAD would suck a little harder without it though. That's why I put the little Grinch down there. For people like you.

Nothing makes my grandma insanely happier than when she sees all the traditional Christmas decorations up, except for maybe all the other holiday traditions surrounding Christmas. I wish I had Alzheimer's. This all just bores me.

the best part of winter is finally getting home after a long ass day or being out in the cold. at the very least it's the coziest season for being inside and sitting on your ass all evening.
