Had to look that up, and while I'm still in the middle of the Wiki article I notice that it only lasted a little over two months. Kinda hard to draw a whole lot of conclusions about the long-term viability of a government that only held power for such a short time.

I've gone over that more than once at length and don't feel like explaining why the American Revolution is not a revolution in the sense that pretty mugh any other violent revolution is a revolution.

TL;DR: Same basic power structures and politicians governed the country before and after the revolution, unlike Russia, China, Cuba, etc. The main change was that the "foreign" occupiers had been expelled.
