It's only valid when the populace aren't ignorant sheep who couldn't make an intelligent political decision if you put a gun to their kid's head. What we really have is an uncontrolled free fall where we're just lucky if we don't elect Hitler.

There were 3 instances during the 1800s where the winner of the election lost the popular vote. 1824 - Adams, 1876 - Hayes, and 1888 - Harrison. There were strong suspicions of voter fraud and corruption in each case.

Only happened twice since. 2000 - Bush, and now 2016 - Trump.

Pretty amazing if you think about it.

I hope those voters show up during the mid term elections but I highly doubt they will.

Since most people don't really show up that much for mid term and only really pay attention during presidential campaigns.
