I think it's pretty ****ed up that we got to the point where people saw as the only alternative. On the bright side, this meme made me laugh.

I haven't been this disappointed since Stephen Harper got the majority the first year I was able to vote.
****. That. Guy.

It is weird though, since Hillary doesn't really represent that faction of the left...at all really.

But what can I say, people put feelings (fear) over facts and voted in a jackass.

If I didn't have to be at work at 5am tomorrow I'd be there with you. Think I've got a couple beers lying around somewhere I might cozy up to though.

I'm just as worried about what this says about 50% of the American people as I am about the political ramifications. I'm worried that those 50% see this as validation for hateful treatment of others, for discrimination, prejudice, and violence. After Brexit there was a spike in hate crimes, and I expect to see the same in the coming months.

I'm shell-shocked that 50% of America openly said "Yes, this spiteful, hateful, violent, impulsive man speaks for me" last night.

This reminds me so much of 2000. Of the nearly 3,000,000 people who voted for Ralph Nader that year the vast majority, when asked during exit polls, said they would have voted for Gore if Nader wasn't running. Bet it's the same this year with Johnson and Clinton.

It's no coincidence that Gore won the popular vote in 2000 and Clinton is going to win it this year. It's also no coincidence that Nader didn't win a single electoral vote and the same goes for Johnson.

Kinda ****ed up if you think about it.

I agree with both of those things, to some extent. I don't know many people (except Chula) that voted Hillary because they liked her, it was more just to avoid a Trump presidency.

Dude. Look at their stances. If anything Johnson stole votes from Trump.

During the 2015 Canadian election, the Liberal government unseated the Conservatives in my riding by 12 votes. 12 votes, and a man who had governed our city for 25 years was looking for a new job. I could slap anybody who doesn't take the power of their own vote seriously.

Liberterians who support Johnson would vote Trump over Clinton, without a doubt in my mind.
