It ain't even a strike lol people ain't going back to work cause they don't need to

Nobody has ever wanted to work. We do it cause we have to. But with the pandemic they started giving out unemployment and **** so really a lot of people don't even need their old job.

Quit cutting them checks and see how quick that **** reverses

I have never understood this. Who wants to sit around all day with their thumb in their ass? I've had some pretty **** jobs but I enjoyed most of the 80% of the time, and I could absolutely think of jobs I'd enjoy having.

This is why I think UBI is worth a shot. If it got rid of the deadbeats in the workforce, I'd call it a win.

Then again, who wants to have to wake up at some ungodly hour in the morning to work some monotonous factory job and deal with some crappy boss and some of the politics that goes with just about any job? I think jwb is right, most people won't want to work if they don't have to. They'd rather do something they actually would want to do; I don't think we'd do just nothing.

well that's you.... I think the average person probably wouldn't go to their job if they didn't have to... Lot of bull**** jobs out there

If i could get unemployment from my last job i could supplement that with door dash and selling weed and be just fine... With like way more free time...

That article is specifically about 4 million people a month quitting their jobs.

Did it say how they are paying their bills at all? Admittedly I'm speaking anecdotally about unemployment that's just the people i know who aren't working atm...
