let's have a look at comets. haley's comet, the most famous of all of them, is 10x5x5 miles in size, with a tail that exceeds 22 million miles in length. it's travelling at a speed of a about 250,000mph. the sun, on the other hand, is a bit shy of half a billion miles in diameter and is travelling at about 450,000 miles an hour. it has no tail though. can someone explain that? cuz when i throw all the info that's been shoved down my throat my whole life by a fundamentally broken, sick and corrupt society out the window, my own brain tells me that if haley's comet has a tail, the sun should definitely have a tail. and so should every other star in space. and so should planets.

Comets are made of dust, ice, gases, and rock. The tail is the ice of the comet melting off and sometimes includes the gas. Remember Comet ISON? That disintegrated because it lost too much of its ice that was keeping it together. Since the sun is largely hydrogen and has zero ice, there is nothing to melt and create a tail.
