Getting away with it? That's a weird way to put it. Is saying bigoted things illegal? Is making cheap jokes illegal?

Fair enough. Though, there's several videos showcasing things he has said that no presidential candidate should ever say. And yes, I say getting away with it because if he's going to point out the things Hillary does and "gets away with it" the same should be done to Trump. However, when it's thrown toward Trump, it's disregarded judging by the fact that he's still in the running.

So, yes, I meant getting away with it literally as no presidential candidate should be able to get away with the things he says.

I don't think that it matters enough to almost entirely ignore the faults of the other candidate and policy in general, which is what the media is doing.

Yeah, but that's always been the motive of the media and if people really dig into as much as they do, nothing will get done. But, there's gotta be a certain point where if a person is recorded as saying something offensive, the blowing up is understandable. It's on a case by case basis.

Nah, this is modern gotcha journalism. After people became blatantly aware of yellow journalism the field started to get a pretty nice self-enforced code of ethics, but as news had to become more entertaining, it got enforced less and less often.

And on pretty much all of these cases, what was "offensive" wasn't even that bad and just reactionary democrats shouting about how the most recent thing the other guy said was really evil.
