Ah, got it. When I watched the debate with my brain turned on, it seemed rather normal. Not something I'd call "unhinged" (a word I would have conveniently chosen along with CNN, BBC, and MSNBC headlines).

Following the canon of "always vote [x]" means that you're stupid because you'd rather have a catch-all rule that answers everything without putting any thought into it on a case by case basis like a rational adult would. Not you personally, but probably you personally.

Believe it or not, I've voted Republican in the past.

Michael Dukakis? Really? Are you out of your ****ing mind? I watched him screw Massachusetts over up close. No way he was getting my vote.
