It's the medication......
A friend of mine made a great post about the election just now: Quote:

Hillary wins, out in 4 years, you get Marco Rubio or Scott Walker for 8, unless she can get economic growth consistently above 3% per gdp year.
Trump wins, the Republican Party shifts to the left and he's most likely out in 4. ...I admit that it's a risk, but take in mind were dealing with the two most unpopular electoral candidates in history. |

Obama's current approval rating at this point of his presidency is higher than Reagan's was at the same point. Gas prices are way down, the stock market is up, home values continue to rise, Gitmo is slowly shutting down, and our allies feel really good about us again. All Hillary needs to do is continue Obama's game plan. Her 4 years as Secretary of State gives her a major advantage too.

You don't think approval rating helps to give an idea of what the public will be voting like?

Ah, I definitely agree with that but it should be noted that that's not the context that Chula was putting it in.

Ya, we're not talking about a piece of art here.

No party has won 4 straight consecutive elections since the FDR and Truman in the 1940`s.
If you think a corrupt candidate that takes payouts and past campaign funding from Goldman Sachs, the Saudi`s, rigs the DNC in her favour to win the primary, lies about classified emails on her server, and is one of the most unpopular electoral candidates in American history will win two terms and be the first party to win 4 straight elections since the World war 2, well all I can say is...she better have record high GDP growth numbers. She`s slaughter for Marco Rubio, & the big banks & Wall Street know it. It might be better to have Trump win, he can seal off the borders all he wants, odds are he`s out in 4. |

No party has been as splintered and dysfunctional as the current GOP since..... forever. As the years go on it's going to get harder and harder to win based on just appealing to the blue collar white male vote. A lot of those angry older Wonder Bread White voters will be dying off too.
