Don't lump me in with batlord since I'm invested in these issues and also, picking out the idiocy in a lot of your posts is quite entertaining.

I'm not pretending. I do care about who the next president is.

If you are invested why are you throwing your vote away?

For some ****'s sake reason that's not the same as politics.

I'm not voting for Hillary or Trump, so I'm not voting people that I don't agree with into office. Voting for the lesser of two evils is throwing away my vote, so I vote third party in hopes that other people like me don't just give up and give in to unjust politics.

Voting for Clinton to insure that the supreme court has a liberal majority is reason enough. Trump gets in and we're stuck with a conservative majority.

The substantive point I was making is not all income is taxed similarly. To put it in stark terms, if Joe works at Costco making $50k a year and Bill makes $50k a year thru passive income off investments, Bill will pay (substantively) less in taxes. To put it in realistic terms, if you have a better job you get retirement benefits that not only pay out more but are often structured in such a way they are either tax neutral or act in as a deduction.... meaning you pay less in taxes for more better pay.

To be honest, a third part vote is about the same as voting for Trump at this point. Unfortunately I may have to just swallow my pride and give in to the lesser of two evils even if I disagree with it completely. A third party vote won't do anything if more than half the country already has their mind made up.

28 years of real political experience but look at her track record and how she has ****ed up so much during that time. Experience doesn't mean jack shit but crappy experience where it looks like she isn't learning from her mistakes and just making more mistakes isn't necessarily a good thing either. So sure some experience is better than none but bad experience isn't that great either.

Jill Stein is polling 2% so go ahead and toss a vote her way. She desperately needs it. Plus you live in Cali, Hillary is taking your state.

Yeah, you basically said the same thing as me but with better details. There are different retirement options where you can get your tax deferred or have it taken out upfront and then later on when you have more in your retirement account you get to take that out tax free.

Depending on the state you live in, voting is just a meaningless act to say you voted for the hell of it unless you live in a swing state which I know you don't so your vote doesn't really matter. Still going to vote is a good thing because there might be referendums and propositions to vote on that you might be more concerned with. Along with the assemblymen and possibly senate seats depending on your district. If you don't pay attention to state politics. I feel like that is what you should spend your time researching more than presidential candidates.
